Latreia’s One-Day plunge is perfect for you! You can have the taste of a service trip without any of the hassles of staying over night. Latreia staff will set up your day to suite the needs of your group. Do you want extra Bible study time? Extra team-building time? No problem! Give your group the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ and experience Minneapolis through serving Him!
Sample One-Day Service Immersion schedule:
9:30 a.m. Arrive and meet the staff
10 a.m. Volunteer at a local service organization
12 p.m. Sack lunch (provided)
1 p.m. Volunteer at a second service organization
4 p.m. Prayer tour of South Minneapolis
5:30 p.m. Dinner at an authentic ethnic restaurant
7:00 p.m. Debrief at a Minneapolis ‘hot-spot’
8:00 p.m. Head home!
This type of event is strategically planned to accommodate local groups who have an interest in learning more about the cultural diversity and social issues found in Minneapolis, offering a local outlet for like-minded believers to unite in a dynamic day-long experience.
An One-Day Urban Plunge provides:
A service itinerary which provides you with two different types of volunteer opportunities
A sack lunch and an authentic ethnic dinner at a local restaurant
Reflection and journal questions for on-site education
An on-site team of Latreia staff who will help facilitate discussion with your group (if desired by the trip leader)
